Sunday 10th July saw the third Cheshire league of the season; held at Connah’s Quay, Deeside. There were 7 athletes competing for the club resulting in 10 personal bests and 1 seasons best.
For the under 13 girls- Elizabeth Greenall ran 3:02 for the 800m and 15.4 for the 100m. She also jumped 4.12m in the long jump and threw the javelin 6.70m, achieving a personal best.
Hollie Brussels ran 3:01 for the 800m and jumped 3.01m in the long jump which was a new pb! She threw the javelin 10.33m too. Lauren Taylor competed in the 800m to achieve a pb with a time of 3:32:5, she got a pb in the 100m too with 15.6 and another in the long jump: 3.54m. Achieving her fourth pb of the day in the javelin with a throw of 6.25m.
Michael Dobson went in the under 13 boys 800m and finished in 2:33:7. He also ran in the 200m.
Representing the under 15 boys for the first time, Toby Ferguson competed in the 200m and finished in 31.5 which is a fantastic benchmark for future pb’s.
Peter Davies ran in the under 17 men’s 100m and finished in 13.6. He ran 2:31.5 for the 800m which was a pb. He got his second pb of the day in the javelin with 14.11m.
Senior lady, Karen Marsh competed in the 100m finishing in 15.7. She got a seasons best in her long jump with 3.82m and a pb in the discus with 18.29m.
